Nothing is stored, trucked in or blended. Water is drawn from [SPRING NAME] between four and six in the afternoon on the day of the charge and filtered on the spot — a 5-micron sediment filter, then a 0.2-micron absolute membrane that takes out particles and bacteria and leaves every mineral where it was. It is carried in glass and never touches plastic. If we can’t draw that day, we don’t charge that night.
At dusk the water starts flowing over the moon weir — a wide, gently sloped slab of black stone where it spreads into a sheet a few millimetres thin, drops into a glass trough, and is pumped back to the top through glass and stainless lines, passing a 0.2-micron membrane on every loop. The weir is roofed in low-iron glass, so the water sees the moon but never the open air. It runs from dusk until first light, and every drop crosses the slab hundreds of times. We log illumination, cloud cover and temperature every hour. If the sky clouds over for more than [X] hours, the batch is poured back and the night doesn’t count.
At first light the weir stops and the trough is closed. On the way to the filler the water passes a final 0.2-micron filter and a UV lamp — nothing added, nothing left behind — and is bottled in frosted glass before sunrise, capped, and stamped with the date, the phase, the illumination and the batch number. Moonlight is faint — about a quarter of a lux at full moon — and clear water lets nearly all of it through. So depth doesn’t matter; surface does. A bowl exposes a few hundred square centimetres. The weir turns every litre into a moving film a couple of millimetres thin, so for the whole night, all of the water is surface.
A still bowl exposes one surface once. A film that keeps renewing itself exposes the whole batch, over and over. Moving water also stays cleaner than standing water: it passes a 0.2-micron membrane on every loop and never sits.
Nothing reflects back up through the film but the sky itself. The slab is honed basalt, sealed, rinsed with the spring water before every charge, and it holds the night’s cool so the water stays around 50°F.
We don’t claim moonlight changes the water, so the only honest thing to sell is the exposure itself. Moon-hours — clear hours the water spent on the weir — go on the stamp, and the whole night goes in the sky report.
Bottled water is a food, and the law is clear about two things: the water must be protected from contamination, and spring water must reach you with the same composition it had at the spring. Both suit us. Every step below removes; none adds.
